Last month, nearly 90 people gathered for "The Silent Thread", an evening of learning, conversation, and reflection on the value of human life.
Sam Elliott walked us through more than 2,000 years of history, sharing how cultures have viewed unborn life and how Christians throughout history responded through faithful action, care, and conviction. He also challenged attendees to consider the role the Church can play today as conversations surrounding life continue in our communities.
The timing of this conversation was especially significant as Missouri voters prepare to consider Amendment 3 on November 3, a measure that addresses abortion law and other provisions in the Missouri Constitution.
We were also grateful to have Heartlander News join us for the evening and feature "The Silent Thread" in a story highlighting Sam’s message and the historical perspective shared at the event.

Meet Kaylin and Baby Reese

"My experience with PWC has been phenomenal. The entire staff and volunteers are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. They walked me through resources that were available to me and tried to help me during pregnancy and postpartum in every way they could. The Smart Steps program has been an invaluable resource. A lot of the information in the videos has been a refresher for me since this is my third child, but it's

been great to have, considering there's such an age gap between my second and third babies. Some things you just forget! So it's been wonderful to go through the courses to make sure I'm prepared again. Also, we've been gifted some beautiful, handmade blankets and burp rags that we cherish. The resources and care that PWC offers to women and families in the community is truly unmatched."

Phase 2 Construction Progress
|
Throughout September, several major pieces of the project were completed. The rooftop HVAC unit was installed with a crane on site, the first coat of paint was applied, ceiling grids were put in place, and lighting was installed throughout the new space.
We also saw big changes in the finishing details. Bathroom wall tile and vinyl flooring were installed, carpeting in the offices was completed, and doors were hung in most of the offices.
With each phase, the space is beginning to look and feel more like the finished clinic we have been praying and preparing for. We are so grateful for everyone who has helped make this expansion possible and are excited to continue sharing the progress with you!

Nearly 20 students from St. James recently served at PWC by planting mums, counting baby bottles, and organizing clothing for families. We are incredibly grateful for their willingness to serve and their hard work.

A heartfelt thank you to Trinity Lutheran Church, along with Barb Bitterman and Tammy Miesner, who came all the way from Iowa and handmade more than 100 baby items for our clients!
Each piece was made with care and will be a meaningful gift to the moms and families we serve. We are so grateful for their generosity, the time they invested, and the love poured into every item.
